It's a lot.

Sister's wedding over. Went awesome. Danced a lot. Paying for it today. Mom has breast cancer. Breast cancer. Found out 2 weeks ago. Double mastectomy tomorrow. We are moving. Within the next month. To a bigger house. Not packed. Dad losing job. Forced out after 14 years of service. Mom doesn't work, doesn't get paid. Dad won't get paid after June. Unresolved health issues for me. More that I don't want to share.

It's a lot. A lot, a lot. Would you pray friends? Just pray.

My mom's shoes at Laura's wedding. They are actually pink, not red. She purchased these shoes months ago, but on Saturday they appropriately were named her "breast cancer shoes."

Aspen and Grammie last Easter. One of my favorite pics.

Matthew 11:28-30
Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.

My dear friend, we are praying, praying fervently for your family. Praying that you will feel God carrying you through all of these life altering circumstances. Praying that you will find rest, yet strength through all of this and most of all complete peace. The song that comes to mind is the one from Natalie Grant called "Held". This song was very instrumental in my life when we were hit with lots of difficulties. I clung to those words and declared them mine. Please know that as your friends we want to be there for you in any way that you need. Watching Aspen, helping with the move, an ear to listen to, whatever it is I want to be there for you. I love you and am so glad that you are in my life.

Psalm 34:18, Psalm 121, Psalm 46:1-11, Psalm 139

I am praying. It does seem like too much for one person to have to handle. I have heard Christians say, "God doesn't give you more than you can handle" and I HATE that comment. At times like this, you know it feels like you truly can hardly handle it all and for the life of me, I have never found that idea in the Bible. It;s because the real truth is this: God doesn't give you more than HE can handle. We take it to the cross and leave it there for HIM. He will hold you through this and those of us around you need to hold you up as well. I can help you pack on Wed and THurs.

Love you! Julie
