July 4th celebration-part 1

We spent the morning of July 4th downtown Bend having some good old fashioned, not so-small-town-anymore, fun. The annual pet parade is a favorite of ours. Anyone can be in it.

There were all sorts of dogs with their owners proudly showing them off. Tons and tons of BOONS and BUBBOS (balloons and bubbles). A sea of red, white, and blue. Lots of dressed up kiddos riding their decorated bikes. A few cats. Pretty horses with their hooves painted sparkly pink. A bunch of random costumes like wonder woman and a large green frog costume that scared poor Aspen. And of course, it would not be a Central Oregon parade without goats and cows, yes cows.

Then we were off to the park to browse through different vendor booths and enjoy the music of the gospel choir. Aspen really has some sweet dance moves.

On Aunt Jennie's shoulder...with lips sticking out.

Feeling the music at the park.

Resting on daddy's shoulders.

Best seat in the house. Watching the pet parade.

part 2 coming soon!
